District Technology Accessibility Statement
Green Mountain Falls – Chipita Park Fire Protection District is committed to providing equitable access to our services to all Coloradans.
Our ongoing accessibility effort works towards being in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA criteria. These guidelines not only help make technology accessible to users with sensory, cognitive and mobility disabilities, but ultimately to all users, regardless of ability.
Our efforts are just part of a meaningful change in making the District’s services inclusive and accessible. We welcome comments on how to improve our technology’s accessibility for users with disabilities and for requests for accommodations to any District services.

Announcements:
Green Mountain Falls / Chipita Park Fire Protection District has an existing mill levy of 7.000 mills obligated to pay off debt (see annual report) and 7.372 mills to fund operations and maintenance within the District; at this time there is not discussion on issuing any future mill levies.
At this time, there is no discussion on any additional Long Term Financial Obligations anticipated by the District. Here is a summary of the District’s current outstanding Long Term Financial Obligations:

The Green Mountain Falls/Chipita Park Fire Protection District main function is to provide fire protection within the District Boundaries and provide funding to the Green Mountain Falls Fire Station. At this time, the District is not anticipating providing any other primary functions.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS §§ 1-13.5-501; 1-13.5-303 C.R.S. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, and, particularly, to the eligible electors of the Green Mountain Falls-Chipita Park Fire Protection District, El Paso County and Teller County, Colorado (the “District”). NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election will be held on May 6, 2025, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. At that time, three (3) directors will be elected to serve until May 2029. Eligible electors (registered voters of the district and non-resident property owners, registered to vote elsewhere in Colorado) of the District interested in serving on the board of directors may obtain a Self-Nomination and Acceptance Form from the Designated Election Official (“DEO”) by emailing the request to Rebecca Harris (DEO) at rebecca.h@wsdistricts.co or calling 719-447-1777. The deadline to submit a Self-Nomination and Acceptance Form is the close of business (5:00 p.m.) on Friday, February 28, 2025. If the DEO determines a Self-Nomination and Acceptance Form is not sufficient, the form may be amended prior to 5:00 p.m. on February 28, 2025. Earlier submittal is encouraged as the deadline will not permit curing of an insufficient form after this date and time. An Affidavit of Intent to be a Write-In Candidate must be submitted to the DEO by the close of business (5:00 p.m.) on Monday, March 3, 2025. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that information on obtaining an absentee ballot (for those who may be out of town) may be obtained from the DEO, and applications for an absentee ballot must be filed with the DEO no later than the close of business on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
